What is Neuro-Physiotherapy

Neuro-Physiotherapy is a ‘hands on’ treatment aimed at helping you to move normally again and enabling you to get back to doing the things that you enjoy or need to do for yourself. Many different rehabilitation techniques are employed by the physiotherapist and she will choose the ones best suited to your needs.

Our Mission Statement

  • To provide an excellent rehabilitation service that enables people to reach their maximum potential in terms of mobility and improved muscle power.
  • To design customised treatment programmes for each person coming to the clinic, so that the client is able to do the exercises at home with or without assistance.
  • To improve the quality of life and the self-esteem of our clients by helping them achieve their goals.
  • To empower our clients to achieve their goals whilst at all times facilitating individual choice.
  • To limit the impact of degenerative and life limiting illnesses by helping clients maintain a better quality of overall health and wellbeing.
  • To operate within the highest standards of regulatory compliance and integrity and to be leaders within the field of neuro-physiotherapy
Neuro-physiotherapy is a highly specialised branch of rehabilitation and requires many years of experience and study of how the brain and nervous system works and how normal movement occurs. Only then is the physiotherapist able to work with people who have reduced or abnormal patterns of movement. The neuro-physiotherapist is there to help people overcome the difficulties that come about following disease or injury to their nervous system, i.e. the brain and spinal cord.
